The Refrigeration Field Service Engineer, under direct and indirect supervision, supports the operations of the Service Department both in the field and occasionally in the shop, in service, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of refrigerated (and some non-refrigerated) scientific equipment including freezers, refrigerators, lyophilizes, vacuum pumps, and other types of equipment. Assists with customer service needs and work order management. Directly reports to the Area Service Supervisor. Works closely with fellow technicians, Administrative Staff, and Project Managers. This role will be traveling and providing services to different facilities around the bay area. A company vehicle will be provided. What you'll do:Field Responsibilities:
Required to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and shop infrastructure work as needed. Assist other technicians and staff as needed. Work may include pick-up and delivery of equipment, field service, shop service/repairs, calibration, and preventative maintenance of refrigerated (and some non-refrigerated) scientific equipment including freezers, refrigerators, lyophilizes, vacuum pumps, and other types of equipment. Provide support for servicing customers' specialty equipment in shop. May be required to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and "on-call" as needed.Specialties:
