The client is a global industrial technology leader delivering ultra-precision equipment used in advanced manufacturing applications. Their systems support industries requiring extreme accuracy, including optics, aerospace, and high-tech manufacturing. The organization focuses on solving complex technical challenges through innovation, precision engineering, and strong customer support. As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as the primary technical liaison between the company and its customers, supporting installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades of ultra-precision machinery. You'll perform machine installations, customer training, system acceptance testing, and ongoing maintenance both in the field and at the facility. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues, implementing upgrades, supporting customers via phone/email, and maintaining accurate service documentation. Success in this role means delivering high-quality installations, minimizing downtime, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role aligns extremely well with veterans from electronics maintenance backgrounds. Military experience such as Navy Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), Avionics Technician (AT), Army 94-series electronics repair, Air Force Avionics (2A), or Marine Corps aviation maintenance MOSs translates directly. Veterans skilled in troubleshooting complex systems, reading schematics, troubleshooting electronic systems using multimeters and reading schematics, familiarity working with hydraulics/pneumatics, and supporting mission-critical equipment will find strong alignment. This is a highly travel-intensive field role requiring both domestic and international travel. Technicians work independently at customer sites, performing installations, diagnostics, and repairs on advanced electro-mechanical systems. The role requires proficiency with motion control systems, PLCs, servo systems, and machining equipment, along with the ability to read schematics and coordinate logistics for installations. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as you'll often serve as the company's on-site face. When you are not traveling, you will support the customer support center by triaging and troubleshooting issues from headquarters. Also, you will be providing more hands-on support for the technology that comes directly into operations. New Hampshire offers a high quality of life with access to outdoor recreation, a strong sense of community, and a quieter lifestyle compared to major metro areas. The cost of living in New Hampshire is about par with the national average, with slightly higher housing costs in New England. However, for a travel-heavy role like this, much of your time will be spent on the road, which can help offset day-to-day living expenses. The region provides a balance of stability, safety, and access to larger Northeast markets while maintaining a more relaxed pace of life. Job 59038
