Field Service Engineer Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment at customer sites worldwide. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, problem-solving in the field, and working directly with customers in fast-paced industrial environments. Responsibilities Independently diagnose and repair industrial equipment issues involving motors, gearboxes, sensors, wiring, and control panels. Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs, and OEM manuals to support installation, commissioning, and repairs. Demonstrate working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment with the ability or willingness to make basic program changes or adjustments in the field. Install, start up, and commission manufacturing or processing equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision. Ensure industrial safety by adhering to OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing personal protective equipment while working. Essential Skills Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation. PLC exposure with hands-on experience or a willingness to learn. Installation and commissioning experience. Familiarity with industrial safety standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to travel internationally. Technical degree or equivalent experience. Work Environment Work involves traveling to customer sites worldwide, often in fast-paced industrial settings. Adherence to safety standards and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stow, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $41.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
