Field Service Engineer - Travel RoleUp to 80 Percent Travel |
Field-Based RoleSalary:
$80,000 to $105,000 per year plus Per Diem and Company Car (And Overtime)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote support for advanced CNC machine tools. This role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation while delivering exceptional customer service across a multi-state territory. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, thrives in a field environment, and enjoys building trusted relationships with customers.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC machine tools at customer sites and via phone supportSupport equipment using industry standard controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and SiemensCreate, update, and maintain technical documentation and service recordsGenerate and analyze service-related reports, including ad hoc and recurring reportsWork collaboratively with internal teams and customer service engineersProvide training and technical guidance to customer service engineers, particularly on new product linesBuild strong customer relationships through professional communication and high service standardsAddress and resolve challenging customer situations with a solutions focused mindsetFollow safety standards, company policies, and work proceduresPerform additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred3+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining CNC machine toolsStrong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skillsProven ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder logic diagramsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientationAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities and changing conditionsBasic computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of an organizationWillingness to travel up to 80 percent across a multi-state region by car or airValid driver's licensePreferred QualificationsExperience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controlsField service or OEM service background in manufacturing or machining environmentsCompensation and BenefitsBase salary of $80,000 to $105,000 per year based on experience (Plus Overtime)Per diem provided for all travel assignmentsCompany car provided for business travelThe company paid travel expensesOvertime eligibility consistent with non-exempt classificationOpportunities for professional growth and advanced technical trainingWhy Join UsWork with highly technical and complex manufacturing equipmentDiverse and challenging field assignmentsStrong technical support and team collaborationOpportunities for long-term career growthStable role with a well-established organizationIf you are a field service engineer with the required skills, please email your resume to:
