Full Job Description Fitness Equipment Field Service Technician Job Summary:
The Fitness Equipment Field Service Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of fitness equipment at various customer locations. This role requires technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostics :
Assess/diagnose equipment to determine what repairs are needed to return functionality
Maintenance and Repairs :
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair fitness equipment, including mechanical and electronic components.
Customer Service :
Communicate with customers to explain results service call and answer any questions.
Documentation :
Maintain detailed records of service calls, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
Quoting:
Create quotes based on what parts are needed to complete repairs
Inventory Management :
Manage and track inventory of parts that are in service van
Safety Compliance :
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in fitness equipment preferred.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
Experience :
Previous experience in a field service role, particularly with fitness equipment, is highly desirable.
Customer Service :
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, and work in various environments.

Problem-Solving :
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Time Management :
Capable of managing multiple service calls and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Adaptability :
Willingness to travel and adapt to different work environments.
Working Conditions:
Travel :
Frequent travel to customer locations is required.
Hours :
Standard business hours, 40 hrs/week with occasional OT This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving technical problems, and providing excellent customer service 1+ years experience preferred
