From $35.00 per hour Senior Field Technician Kooler Ice Vending Services (KIVS) — Phoenix Metro Kooler Ice Vending Services (KIVS) is hiring a Senior Field Technician to support and maintain ice and water vending machines throughout the Phoenix metro area. This is a long-term, senior-level role designed for an experienced technician who values stability, ownership, accountability, and proper diagnostics . This position is intended for professionals seeking a career home , not a stepping stone or short-term stop. Who This Role Is For This role is intended for technicians who: Have established, senior-level experience and are seeking long-term employment Take pride in accurate diagnostics and fixing problems correctly the first time Want to be the technical authority and escalation point in the field Are comfortable mentoring and supporting junior technicians Are tired of high-turnover environments and frequent job changes This role is not suitable for entry-level technicians, developing technicians, or individuals who frequently change employers. Why This Role Is Different No roof work, attics, or crawlspaces All equipment is ground-level at retail and commercial locations Diagnostics-focused role — not parts swapping Stable, repeatable equipment and predictable service environments Structured on-call rotation with paid leadership responsibilities High level of trust, autonomy, and accountability Built for technicians who want consistency, not chaos Compensation & Schedule $35.00+ per hour DOE Overtime paid at 1.5x On-call rotation: 1 weekend per month(Paid stipend; OT if called out with a 2-hour minimum) Coaching/support weekend: 1 scheduled weekend per month(Paid with defined hours) Full-time, year-round position Role Overview & Responsibilities Diagnose and repair ice and water vending machines Perform advanced electrical, mechanical, and control diagnostics Serve as the technical escalation point for field technicians Travel with junior technicians to coach proper troubleshooting methods Validate diagnoses before parts are replaced Reduce repeat service calls, downtime, and unnecessary parts usage Communicate technical findings clearly to operations and leadership Support installations, retrofits, and field improvements as needed Advanced Multi-Meter Skills (Critical Requirement) This role requires expert-level proficiency with a digital multi-meter. Candidates must be comfortable diagnosing live systems independently in the field.

Required capabilities include:

Measuring and interpreting AC and DC voltage Performing continuity and resistance testing Measuring current draw using clamp or in-line methods Diagnosing low-voltage control circuits (24V and similar) Identifying shorts, opens, grounding issues, and voltage drops Safely testing and troubleshooting live electrical circuits If you do not regularly use a multi-meter on service calls, this role will not be a fit. Required Experience 7+ years of consistent field service or technician experience Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions Experience mentoring or supporting less-experienced technicians Valid driver's license and clean driving record Professional communication and customer-facing skills Résumé Screening Requirement (No Exceptions) This is a long-term senior role.
