Water Mitigation Technician

Duties Respond promptly to water damage emergencies, performing assessments to determine scope and severity of the damage Operate and maintain water extraction equipment, including pumps, vacuums, and moisture meters to efficiently remove standing water Perform structural drying using dehumidifiers, air movers, and other power tools to ensure thorough moisture removal Conduct mold remediation procedures when necessary, following safety protocols to eliminate mold growth and prevent future issues Assist with cleaning and restoration tasks such as carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitization using appropriate hand tools and cleaning agents Support fire restoration efforts by helping with smoke odor removal and cleaning affected areas Follow safety guidelines during asbestos abatement or other hazardous material handling processes while utilizing proper personal protective equipment Skills Experience with water damage restoration techniques and industry-standard equipment Knowledge of mold remediation procedures and safety practices Familiarity with cleaning methods including carpet cleaning and general surface sanitation Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction-related equipment safely and effectively Understanding of fire restoration processes and asbestos abatement protocols is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills during emergency response situations Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients throughout the restoration process Embark on a career where your hands-on skills make an immediate impact!
