Field Service Technician Location:
Los Angeles / Orange County /
Irvine, CA Area Pay:
$34-$38/hr + Overtime + Benefits Position Overview Professional Employment Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power generation equipment throughout Southern California. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in power generation, electrical controls, natural gas generators, microturbines, or related energy systems. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues. Perform preventative maintenance and equipment commissioning. Troubleshoot PLCs, automation systems, and electrical control panels. Complete service documentation and communicate findings to customers and internal teams. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Requirements 2+ years of experience in power generation, field service, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field. Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, controls, and automation equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments. Preferred Experience Natural gas generators, microturbines, or distributed power systems. PLC troubleshooting and controls experience. Energy, utility, oil & gas, or industrial power generation experience. Work Environment Field-based role supporting customer sites throughout Southern California. Local travel with occasional overnight travel. Overtime and after-hours service calls as needed. #PEG2
