Job Description

Role Overview Field-based technician responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water and wastewater treatment systems across municipal and industrial sites. This role involves frequent travel and hands-on work with electrical, mechanical, and automation systems, including PLC and SCADA-controlled equipment. Key Responsibilities Support startup, commissioning, and servicing of treatment systems in the field Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and basic controls issues on-site Work with PLC and SCADA systems to monitor and diagnose system performance Perform preventative maintenance and system checks to ensure uptime and reliability Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs Document service work and communicate updates to internal teams and customers Required Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or industrial/technical roles
PLC & SCADA
knowledge•required Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (panels, wiring, troubleshooting) Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics Comfortable working in industrial environments and outdoor settings Willingness to travel frequently (regional/national) Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Electrical, controls, or mechatronics training (degree or trade school) Exposure to automation, instrumentation, or process systems Experience in water/wastewater, utilities, or similar industries Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, and industrial communication protocols Ideal Candidate Hands-on, mechanically and electrically inclined Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and adaptable in field environments Comfortable working independently and customer-facing Enjoys travel and dynamic, site-based work Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Product Director
