As part of Mark Scott Construction, a licensed, bonded, and EPA Lead-Safe Certified contractor, we have built our reputation on exceptional service, reliable communication, and quality workmanship. We are seeking motivated and dependable professionals to join our growing Water and Contents Restoration Team.
Job Summary:
The Water Restoration Lead Technician / Contents Lead Technician plays a critical role in responding to property damage emergencies, assessing losses, performing mitigation services, and helping customers restore their homes and businesses. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, cleaning services, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Respond to emergency water, fire, smoke, and mold restoration projects. Load and operate restoration equipment and company vehicles. Perform initial assessments of damaged properties. Execute water mitigation and structural drying procedures. Complete demolition, cleaning, deodorization, and restoration-related tasks. Inventory, pack, transport, store, clean, and return customer contents. Move furniture, equipment, and household items as needed. Set up containment areas and operate restoration equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Maintain accurate job documentation using mobile applications and paperwork. Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards. Participate in after-hours emergency response and on-call rotations as needed. Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, customers, and insurance representatives. Qualifications Required Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. High attention to detail and strong work ethic. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to wear respiratory protection and other required PPE. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, housekeeping, or cleaning services. IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification. Experience using mobile applications for job documentation.
