This position requires a customer-focused attitude and dedication to providing exceptional repair and maintenance services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain equipment, while also providing training to customer personnel on machine maintenance. Successfully complete all aspects of service calls, including thorough business reporting such as timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records, expense reports, and repair order logs. Safely utilize and maintain company assets, including trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment, ensuring a professional and well-presented image at customer sites or in the van. Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, ensuring efficient completion of tasks.
  • Diagnose errors or technical issues and determine appropriate solutions
  • Maintain daily and responsive communication with the Dispatch Call Center to receive job assignments and relay job status upon completion of each service call.
  • Interact responsively with customers, consistently providing the highest level of service.
  • Identify and capitalize on additional revenue opportunities.
  • Perform bi-monthly cycle counts of inventory and reconcile any differences.
  • Manage van inventory accurately and responsibly.
  • Complete and submit paperwork daily, including work orders and timesheets.
  • Prepare parts replenishment paperwork and submit daily to the Parts Coordinator
  • Ensure the safety of the van and maintain all necessary safety items.
  • Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received
DIRECT SUPERVISION
Daily priorities are established by the supervisor for this role, but the employee is expected to evaluate and respond to new situations that require immediate attention. Work is frequently checked while in progress, and end results are reviewed. Supervision Exercised None
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Auto Mechanic or similar Certification desirable Experience
  • 1 - 3 years of previous work experience performing repair and maintenance work required, including: o Troubleshooting and repairing combustion engines (LP, Diesel, or Gas) o Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems o Using hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices. o Using a personal computer, MS Office Suite, and email. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills with previous service experience
  • Small engines competency
  • Basic electrical knowledge. Knowledge of AC and DC Circuits is a plus
  • Knowledge of hydraulics is a plus
  • Welding and torch experience is a plus
  • Metal fabricating and/or cutting experience is a plus
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Customer-centric attitude, committed to delivering exceptional service
  • Ability to use a personal computer in the performance of job functions, including email, web browsing, using Google Drive, and reviewing documents online (e.g. schematics)
  • Familiarity with basic smartphone functions, such as phone calls, text messaging, email, and other communication methods. Language Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including written communication and ability to read English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and/or employees of an organization. Mathematical Skills
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, taking into account contextual variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds independently; frequently lifting of up to 30 pounds
