Water Restoration Technician

Water Restoration Technician Base Pay:

$20/hr

$55,000-$150,000+ per year (Commission is already built in — you just accept work orders and get paid on each one.) What This Job Is This is a hands‑on field role where you help clean up and repair homes and businesses after water or damage events. If someone has experience in hazmat cleanup, demo, construction, pest control, or general labor, they are a great fit. You're not doing sales — you get assigned jobs, you complete the work, and you earn commission on each job you finish. How the Pay Works (Simple Explanation) You get work orders automatically — no cold calling, no selling. You earn 8% commission on every completed job. A $1,000 job = $80 commission Most techs earn around $75,000 per year. Low end is about $55,000 (only if you refuse jobs). Top techs make $150,000+ because they take more work. So the money is there — you just say yes to the work tickets. What You'll Do Use equipment to remove water from damaged homes and buildings Tear out damaged flooring, drywall, furniture, etc. Document the work and collect payment before moving to the next job Work mostly on residential sites (80%), with some commercial (20%) Requirements Valid driver's license Able to wear a respirator Comfortable working in damaged, wet, or hazardous environments Physically capable of lifting, moving, and manual labor Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Overtime available during emergencies Growth Opportunities You can move up within the Water Restoration Department into higher‑paying roles. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Juan Capistrano, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $83200.00/yr.
