Position Overview Dave's Lock Service is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and self-motivated Field Technician (or trainee) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with low voltage, electrical, or general construction experience who enjoys working with their hands and wants to build a long-term career in a specialized trade. No locksmith experience required. We will train the right candidate. This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities, benefits, PTO, and a company vehicle, phone, uniforms, and tools provided. Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain commercial and multi-family door hardware and access systems Assist with installation of low voltage systems, including: Access control systems Card readers and keypads Intercom systems Electronic locking hardware Run and terminate low voltage wiring Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues Read and interpret basic blueprints, plans, and work orders Communicate effectively with team members and office staff Provide professional service and maintain strong customer relationships Qualifications 1+ year of low voltage, electrical, construction, or related field experience preferred Comfortable using hand tools and power tools (drills, impacts, saws, etc.) Basic understanding of wiring, installation, or mechanical systems is a plus Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must be able to pass a background check Why Join DLS?
