Working at our customers' facilities, this position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing commercial ice machines. Diagnose issues such as poor ice production, water leaks, or refrigeration failures, ensuring the machines operate efficiently. Technicians also perform routine maintenance like cleaning components, clearing clogs, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIE
Install, Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Commercial Ice Machines. Treat customers and employees with respect, courtesy and professionalism. Complete service calls on time. Communicate effectively with customers, manager, dispatchers, and sales. Participate in a normal rotation of after-hours and weekend on-call schedule. Maintain Service Vehicle. Attending Training Sessions. Other Duties as Assigned.
COMPETENCIES SKILLS
Mechanical and electronic aptitude. Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills. Strong accuracy and detail oriented with all reporting. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be a self-starter, work with minimal supervision and be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner. Willingness to learn about new and emerging equipment & technologies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Ice and/or water machine tech field service for more than 1 year or a similar position. Demonstrated experience working in direct contact with customers on service-related activities. 2-year technical certification, apprenticeship training program, on the job training and or military Equivalent. High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with proof of an excellent driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Position requires sitting, standing, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Position requires bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting daily. May be up to 30% of the day. Position requires driving a company van or large box truck to and from customer sites.
Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
