$22-$24 ph, DOE Express Employment Professionals is now hiring for an Asbestos Abatement Technician in Colorado Springs! The Asbestos Abatement Technician will handle the safe containment, removal and air quality testing of impacted spaces for a Large Abatement and Restoration organization. Significant career and growth opportunity! Key Responsibilities Perform emergency mitigation and hazard remediation. Establish containment barriers Safely remove hazardous materials Set up air filtration Maintain proper documentation of job site activities and inventory
Qualifications Certifications:
Valid State of Colorado Asbestos Worker certification or the ability to obtain it. Certifications like IICRC (WDRT, ASD) or RRP are heavily preferred Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds on occasion. Willingness to wear PPE including respirators Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Screening:
Clean background check, valid driver's license with an insurable driving record, and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening - to include THC Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Strong communication and problem-solving skills Must have a Valid Driver License and clean MVR Work Environment Warehouse and field worksites Will require lifting up to 50 lbs, up to 100 pounds occasionally Exposure to various weather conditions #2100
