Full-Time About the Role As a Field Operations Service Technician, you will represent Alpen on-site at customer locations, performing hands-on service, repair, and adjustment of high-performance windows and doors. This is a field-based, construction-focused role requiring mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and building materials. It is not an IT or desk-based position . You'll travel throughout the continental U.S., working independently while staying closely connected to a supportive internal team. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to assess, repair, and service Alpen window and door systems Diagnose and resolve issues related to installation, product performance, or hardware Perform adjustments, repairs, and field modifications in accordance with AAMA standards Evaluate job site conditions and determine practical, on-the-spot solutions Complete detailed Field Service Reports using a tablet or laptop Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams Safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 75 lbs. Preferred Experience & Qualifications Hands-on construction experience preferred (remodeling, framing, finish carpentry, exterior work, or window/door installation) Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot physical systems (not software/IT systems) Experience with window and door installation from start to finish, including trim work Familiarity with window/door hardware systems (casement, awning, hung, sliding, European inswing, sliding glass doors) Strong customer service and communication skills Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and organization Comfortable using basic digital tools for reporting (no advanced technical/IT skills required) Valid, travel-ready U.S. Driver's License Bilingual in Spanish is a plus What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving real-world problems on job sites, and delivering a great customer experience.
