As a Residential HVAC Field Service Specialist with Rack Air (a division of Rack), you'll start with a planned route, arrive prepared, and leave customers delighted with 5-star service. You'll diagnose issues, perform corrective and preventive maintenance, complete top-quality installations, and clearly communicate solutions. Your work keeps systems efficient, safe, and reliable—while you grow in a supportive, well-structured environment with training and career advancement. What your day looks like Travel to residential and light commercial sites to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. Clean, adjust, and service air handling units, ductwork, vents, and condensate drainage to ensure peak performance. Complete expert installations and system upgrades with precision and attention to safety standards. Explain findings and recommendations to customers in clear, friendly language. Document work performed and keep your workspace and vehicle clean and organized. Support occasional emergency/urgent service needs and participate in the on-call rotation. Perform additional duties as assigned. What you bring 3-5+ years of HVAC experience, ideally emphasizing residential service. EPA Certification (required). Valid Driver's License with at least two years of driving experience (required). Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking abilities for complex HVAC challenges. A positive attitude and pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship. Exceptional customer focus; skilled at addressing a wide range of client needs. Professional communication skills with people at all levels. Team-oriented, adaptable, and energized by fast-changing environments. Physical demands Routinely lift 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs. Climb ladders; access attics and crawlspaces; navigate tight areas; drive; push, carry, and pull; use hand tools; perform fine-detail work. Ability to drive. Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces. Stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear in person and by phone. Use hands to handle tools/controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch. Frequent exposure to extreme heat/cold and adverse weather (wind, rain, ice, or snow).
