Job Description

What a Day Looks Like You'll kick off the day reviewing production alerts and prepping your route. On site, you'll hunt down the root cause of issues—anything from inverter gateway communication hiccups and failing microinverters to battery performance abnormalities. You'll also address roof-leak service items per SOP and handle warranty-driven visits. Before you leave, you'll run system checks, verify performance, and capture thorough photo notes for the team. Core Responsibilities Troubleshoot production shortfalls and performance alarms Resolve gateway/inverter communication problems Diagnose microinverter failures Evaluate and address battery/storage performance concerns Support roof leak-related service per established SOP Complete warranty-related service calls Perform basic field testing and system verification Assist with removal and reinstall (R&R) projects as needed Field Work & Collaboration Conduct onsite service visits and inspections Assist with site surveys when requested Document work via photos and detailed notes Share clear findings and recommendations with the internal team Service Coordination Use ServiceTitan (or comparable software) to track jobs and update statuses Contribute to service documentation and timely progress updates Coordinate with technicians, vendors, and internal stakeholders Cross-Trade Exposure (As Needed) Provide light, non-licensed electrical support Coordinate generator or surge-related service items Pitch in with general service team tasks What You Bring 1-3 years in residential solar (install, service, or troubleshooting) Hands-on familiarity with PV components and common failure modes Strong diagnostic instincts and field troubleshooting ability Clear documentation habits and confident communication Bonus Skills (Preferred, Not Required) Experience with ServiceTitan or similar platforms Electrical background (highly valued) R&R project experience Site survey exposure Helpful Certifications (Nice to Have) Enphase Tesla (Powerwall) Generac (PWRcell) Qcells SolarEdge Ready to keep residential solar systems performing at their best?
