Field Service Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves traveling to various client locations to provide industrial equipment maintenance, repair, and installation services . The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety. A readiness to travel of up to 60% is expected, primarily for customer site visits and occasional trade shows. The office is in Fort Myers, FL. Responsibilities:

• Start-up and installation of industrial size reduction and recycling systems , which include granulators, shredders , and related auxiliary equipment used in our Zerma and Virtus divisions.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
• Provide customer training on the use and maintenance of equipment during installations and as requested by customers.
• Perform trials/demos with equipment at customer sites to showcase its functionality and answer any questions they may have.
• Document service calls and installations when completed by filling out service reports.
• Provide technical support to customers by phone, email, or on-site visits.
• Follow up on installations and trials/demos.
• Occasional preparation of trade shows/exhibitions.
• Work with Sales, Service, and Management to grow business.
• Be eager to learn new equipment and processes by attending training and participating in educational opportunities. This training might require some travel within the United States, offering you the chance to expand your skills and knowledge.
• Be willing to travel and support the product line where needed.
• Provide support to our customers during regular working hours, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. After-hours and weekends will occasionally be necessary.
• Assists with in-house assembly and related activities.
• Follows instructions and duties as requested by the supervisor.
• A valid Driver's License is required. Qualifications and Skills
• Fulfillment of the Electro-Mechanical program at a two-year school required.
• General knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of computers (e.g., Word and Excel).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to travel when necessary.
• Can carry 60 lbs.
