This position reports to the Director of Global Operations, with daily tasking administered by USV Lead Operators, and serves as a deployable, entry-level USV operator. The operator builds hands-on proficiency operating
MARTAC USV
platforms and supporting their setup, maintenance, testing, and sustainment at headquarters and at customer locations, both CONUS and OCONUS.
Duties / Responsibilities
MARTAC USV
platforms in support of customer missions, exercises, demonstrations, training events, and testing activities both domestically and internationally.
- Deploy as part of small operational teams (2-3 personnel), supporting short-term and sustained operations at customer locations.
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspections, vessel launch and recovery, fueling/charging, and routine preparation of USV platforms and support equipment.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting and corrective maintenance under the direction of engineering and senior technicians.
- Assist with the removal, installation, repair, and replacement of components, and support testing, calibration, and validation during integration, upgrades, and repairs.

variants through daily hands-on operation, and provide structured, accurate feedback from operations and testing to support engineering and software development.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and assist with safety and operating procedures as required.
- Ensure vessels and associated equipment are properly maintained, protected, and prepared for operations at all times.
- Comply with all company, OSHA, and customer safety regulations; represent MARTAC professionally during customer-facing activities; and maintain a clean, organized work environment at headquarters and deployed locations. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid U.S. passport and driver's license.
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Mechanical aptitude, comfort with hand and power tools, and a basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Ability to read, follow, and execute written and verbal instructions, checklists, and procedures, with good attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated record of dependability and reliability.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for durations that support team and mission success, and to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on, outdoor marine environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while supporting a team, remaining patient, objective, and professional in foreign or challenging environments.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment and working in varied weather conditions on or near the water. US Citizen, Must be able to pass the drug test & background Preferred
- Experience operating boats or small watercraft, including launch, recovery, and trailering (strongly preferred).
- Experience operating unmanned or remotely operated systems (USV, UAV/drone, UGV, or ROV).
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Associate degree, technical/vocational training, or equivalent military experience, or commensurate hands-on experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or structural systems.
- Boating license or certification.
- CDL license.
- Carbon fiber fabrication and repair experience.
