Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician Duties:

• Communicate with team members to coordinate lifts and ensure safe operations
• Use hand signals or radios to communicate with crane operator during lifting operations
• Perform field service and maintenance on municipal & industrial pumps and motors
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
• Fabricate and repair components as needed
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
• Perform high voltage electrical work as required
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly

Skills:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Proficient in fabricating and repairing components
• Crane experience helpful but we are willing to train
• Knowledge of hydraulics systems and troubleshooting techniques
• Excellent customer service skills
• Familiarity with high voltage electrical systems
• Background in industrial and municipal lift station experience a plus
• Ability to analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements
• Commercial driving: Posses a valid drivers license
• Forklift operation: Experience operating forklifts for loading and unloading materials
• Warehouse knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
• Shipping and receiving: Understanding of shipping and receiving processes in a logistics environment
• Mechanical knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance
• Heavy equipment operation: Proficiency in operating heavy machinery, including cranes and boom trucks
• Assist in the shop with repairs and general duties when not on service calls.
