The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Liebherr and Link-Belt cranes, strong diesel engine expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and electronic control systems independently. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mobile/hydraulic cranes and support equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including fuel, cooling, air, exhaust/aftertreatment (DPF/DEF), and emissions systems. Service and repair hydraulic systems — pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, and load-sensing circuits. Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, including CAN bus, PLCs, load moment indicators (LMI/RCL), and crane control systems. Work on Liebherr and Link-Belt cranes; familiarity with Grove, Manitowoc, Tadano, or similar makes is a plus. Perform annual, frequent, and
OSHA/ASME
B30-required crane inspections and complete accurate documentation. Respond to field service calls using a company-provided service truck; perform on-site repairs to minimize downtime. Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics, service manuals, and parts diagrams. Conduct welding and fabrication repairs as needed (a plus, not required). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and follow all company and OSHA safety procedures. Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and hours via work orders/fleet maintenance software. Communicate equipment status, parts needs, and recommended repairs clearly to the shop and operations team. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience repairing cranes, heavy equipment, or commercial diesel trucks. Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic systems. Familiarity with Liebherr and Link-Belt cranes (or strong transferable mobile crane experience). Ability to read and interpret hydraulic/electrical schematics and technical service manuals. Own set of mechanic's hand tools (company provides specialty tools, diagnostic laptops/software, and service truck). Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, work at heights, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a safety-first mindset. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Preferred Qualifications Lives in or near Central Florida (Orlando metro area). Manufacturer training or certifications (Liebherr, Link-Belt, Grove/Manitowoc, Cummins, CAT, etc.). Class A CDL, or willingness to obtain one. EPA 609 / refrigerant certification for A/C service. (plus but not required0 NCCCO Crane Inspector or experience performing certified crane inspections. Welding/fabrication skills (MIG/stick).
