Job Description

A leading provider of material and component testing solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician with expertise in low and high-voltage machinery (120V-480V) to install, maintain, and repair advanced testing systems. This role involves troubleshooting electromechanical equipment, calibrating industrial testing machines and instrument, and providing technical support at customer sites, nationwide. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, service, and troubleshoot industrial testing systems, including low and high-voltage (120V-480V) electromechanical equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and industry standards. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues to minimize downtime and improve system reliability. Train customers on equipment operation, safety, and software applications for maximum system performance. Maintain service records and company-provided tools in excellent condition. Collaborate with internal teams and provide technical support for complex troubleshooting and service solutions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on high-voltage systems.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience with electromechanical systems, industrial machinery, or testing equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical systems (120V-480V), PLCs, and motor controls. Hands-on experience with universal destructive testing machines, extensometers, and calibration is preferred. Knowledge of
ISO/IEC 17025
calibration standards and metrology is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills with the ability to train and support clients. Willingness to travel in assigned region or nationwide up to 90% (home on weekends). Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
