Job Description

SunSouth LLC - Carrollton, GA is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnostics & Repair:

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and overhaul farm machinery (tractors, combines, sprayers, tillage) using diagnostic software, hand tools, and heavy equipment.

Field Service:

Travel to customer locations to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.

Preventive Maintenance:

Perform routine servicing, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

Technical Expertise:

Repair engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions; may involve welding or fabricating parts.

Customer Interaction:

Communicate with farmers to understand issues, explain repairs, and provide operational training.

Documentation:

Accurately record work orders, parts used, time spent, and maintenance details.

Inventory:

Manage parts stock in service truck; order necessary components.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience (3+ years) as a Farm/Agricultural Technician. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly Ability to work extended hours and weekend. Valid driver's license / clean driving record. Able to work in diverse weather conditions.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
