Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect farm facilities and equipment to ensure proper operation, sanitation, and overall efficiency. Coordinate and assist with the movement of quail between facilities. Examine quail for signs of disease, monitor growth rates, and evaluate the effectiveness of feeding and medication programs. Recommend improvements to facilities, equipment, feeding programs, and medication practices to enhance production performance based on knowledge of poultry farming, hatchery operations, and processing procedures. Collect samples of diseased quail, feed, or supplements for laboratory testing and transport samples to the laboratory for analysis. Prepare and communicate reports regarding farm conditions, laboratory findings, recommendations, and producer feedback.
EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION
Daily communication is required. This position requires professionalism, cooperation, and moderate tact when coordinating schedules, resolving issues, and obtaining or conveying necessary information.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in environments with routine exposure to moderate heat, cold, moisture, wet conditions, unpleasant odors, soiled materials, and light chemical substances such as cleaning solutions.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (not required)
Experience:
Typically requires 2-5 years of directly related experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license required Acceptable driving record required
