Senior Field Installation Technician

The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead the installation and deployment of FTC safety systems across customer sites nationwide. This is a travel-intensive, field-based role requiring independence, professionalism, and the ability to deliver high-quality installations in varied environments. You will not only install systems, but also represent FTC on-site, ensuring customers have confidence in both the product and the company. What You'll Be Doing

• Install FTC safety systems including cameras, sensors, lighting, and control units predominately on forklifts but also on industrial vehicles and construction equipment
• Carry out wiring, mounting, and system setup to a high professional standard
• Diagnose and resolve installation challenges independently on-site
• Use diagnostic tools and software to configure and troubleshoot systems
• Conduct system testing and ensure full functionality before handover
• Provide basic training and guidance to operators and site teams
• Work directly with customers to ensure installations meet site requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Accurately document installations and report back to internal teams
• Provide feedback from the field to support product and process improvements What We're Looking For
• 3-5+ year's experience in field installation, electrical/mechanical systems, or similar
• Strong experience with forklift / construction electrics, wiring, or equipment installs
• Proven ability to work independently and solve problems in real-time
• Professional, customer-facing, and confident representing a brand
• High attention to detail and pride in quality of work
• Comfortable with frequent nationwide travel and overnight stays
• Valid driver's license What Sets You Apart
• Experience working on forklifts, heavy equipment, or industrial vehicles
• Background in safety systems, telematics, or camera-based technology
• Experience in a travel-based field technician role
• Strong communication skills with both operators and site management
• Someone who leaves a site better than they found technically and professionally Travel Requirements
• Nationwide travel required (typically Monday-Friday)
• Regular overnight stays
• Travel schedule coordinated in advance where possible
• All travel (flights, hotels, vehicles) arranged and covered by the company Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate:

  $30
• $36/hour (depending on experience)

• Overtime:

  1.5x after 40 hours

• Typical Earnings:

  $70K
• $100K+ (including overtime) Travel Package
