What you'll do: Provide scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs of residential, commercial, and industrial generators both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends and holidays as directed. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner. Travel around local area for service work while being on call and rotating first to call responsibility. Maintain parts and service inventory within company vehicle. Create and submit reports for service work completed and project updates. What you'll bring: 2+ years of mechanical experience with power generation, automotive, or diesel engines. Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operations. Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams. Preventative maintenance and service experience with ability to travel locally. Valid driver's license. Bring your generator experience— Generac, Kohler, CAT, Cummins, Katolight, Detroit, Volvo, Isuzu, John Deere, Champion, Honda, MTU, or Briggs & Stratton.
