Job Description
HRSG Field Technician Location:
U.S. Based (Extensive Travel Required)Compensation:
$75,000- 100,000 (DOE) + OT (after 45 hrs/week) + Per Diem We are seeking a HRSG Field Technician responsible for on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) systems .
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee installation, mobilization, and erection activities for HRSG systems at customer sites Direct subcontractor work and ensure compliance with safety (EHS), ASME codes, and project specifications Perform inspections of HRSG piping, structural components, and mechanical systems Execute commissioning activities including hydrotests, chemical cleaning, blowdowns, valve settings, and startup checks Troubleshoot and support repair of plant systems such as condensers, feedwater heaters, and heat exchangers Interpret P&IDs, welding procedures, lifting plans, and technical drawings Serve as the primary on-site technical representative , coordinating with customers and project teams Maintain detailed site documentation and progress reportingQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience) 2-5+ years of experience in power plant construction, commissioning, or maintenance Strong understanding of boilers, HRSG systems, piping, welding, and mechanical systems Experience working in industrial or field environments with strong safety awareness Ability to travel extensively (up to 100%) and work in demanding conditionsWork Conditions:
