Position Summary The Lead Water Restoration Technician is responsible for executing high-quality water mitigation services while leading field operations and maintaining excellent communication with customers, insurance representatives, and team members. This is a hands-on, field-based position that requires technical expertise, leadership, and a strong customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate brings a background in restoration, construction, and mitigation and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. This position requires rotating on-call/emergency availability. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional, empathetic customer service throughout the mitigation process Conduct on-site assessments and communicate with homeowners, property managers, and adjusters Obtain required documents (e.g., signed work authorizations, COS) before initiating or completing projects Perform water mitigation and restoration services according to industry standards and RestoPros protocols Create accurate moisture maps, drying logs, and job documentation using industry-specific software Write and review estimates using estimating software (Xactimate experience preferred) Oversee jobsite cleanliness and safety from start to finish Maintain daily job schedules, equipment logs, and documentation Supervise, mentor, and develop junior technicians as the team scales Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and ensure tools/equipment are properly stocked and maintained Perform regular inspections to ensure quality and compliance with IICRC standards Qualifications 1-2+ years of water mitigation or restoration experience (Required) 1+ years of general construction, demolition, or related experience (Preferred) IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification (Preferred) Experience with mold, fire, or smoke remediation (Preferred) Mold professional licensing (Preferred) Proficient with job management software, drying logs, and documentation tools Xactimate estimating experience is a major plus Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a high level of reliability Able to work independently and communicate effectively with ownership and team Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must pass background check and driving record screening Reliable transportation to and from job sites Physical Requirements Regularly lift 50 lbs. (up to 100 lbs. with assistance) Work on ladders and in elevated or confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces) Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and perform physical labor for prolonged periods Comfortable with repetitive tasks involving pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying
