BASIC FUNCTION
Summarize the basic purpose of the jobThe primary function of this role is to- The primary function of this role is to conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of industrial x-ray inspection equipment.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
Information used to describe specific duties; measure the size of the job; problem complexity; impact of errors on organization.Primary Responsibilities
- Travel to customer site to diagnosis and repair of industrial test equipment; including but not limited to high voltage generators, electrical panels, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Personal Computer (PC), control software and automation components
- Travel to customer site for preventative maintenance, installations as well as emergency service
- Ensure that all customer concerns are addressed, and the appropriate follow-up is taken
- Provide customers with timely updates regarding ETA onsite
- Assist manufacturing with system integration and installation
- Work with the Service Coordinator on scheduling, parts orders/returns etc
- Assist customers over the phone with technical problems and troubleshooting
- Train customers on basic operation and maintenance w applicable.
- Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, phone/remote support
- Assist in system moves and/or system qualifications w needed
- Ad to NSI's waste management and recycling policiesMachines, Tools, Equipment (Office and Industrial), Software Used
- Electronic test equipment such as
Oscilloscope and Multi-meterPhysical and Visual Activities:
Physical and visual activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the responsibilities of this position- Sitting, standing, bending and looking at monitors
Physical Demands:
Physical demands commonly associated with the performance of the responsibilities of this position- 75% + Travel and overtime, must be able to sit for extended periods
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the responsibilities of this position- Much of the work will be completed at customer site with up to 80% travel required.

- Ability to interpret schematic and electrical diagrams
- Strong ability to use electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscope and Multi-meter
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment
- Ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to maintain composure in high pressure situations
- Ability to manage service schedule that results in timely service for customer
- Strong customer service/communications skills with a high level of professionalism
- Experience with resolving technical issues in a highly sensitive environment
- Experience working with multiple levels within an organization.
