Job Description

TEI Electrical Solutions, a minority, woman-owned government certified contractor in the Mid-Atlantic region, is experiencing growth and has an immediate need for a highly motivated, detailed-oriented individual for an available opportunity as a Field Service Technician III-Electrical. Field Service Technician III (Superintendents) oversee all phases of a Service project from initial planning to completion. They are responsible for the quality of work and material along with responsibility for making sure the project stays within budget. They will insure that all safety requirements are being followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the customer Provide training, demonstration, guidance and instructions to customers on how to use equipment Be on site to oversee the service call process. Trouble shoot equipment and any problems the customers are having Keep daily records of service calls Repair, maintain customers equipment Meet all appointments in a giving day Monitor expenses to ensure that they are meeting budget. Track material and labor cost throughout project. Ensure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel and contractors. Liaison with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site in terms of licenses and safety. Follows the project construction process to ensure that it is completed in time. Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. High level of accuracy, detail orientation, and use of good judgment. Thorough knowledge of National Electrical Code and other applicable codes High level of organizational skills and ability to work within deadlines. Ability to read, write and comprehend English. Excellent oral communication skills both on a one-on-one basis and in group situations Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment Ability to solve complex problems Ability to lead and direct project staff Must have knowledge in building and construction processes Must acquire and utilize the computer skills required to operate the functions used or prescribed by the company to efficiently conduct business. Experience and/or training on required tools for the specific job
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum of 8 years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license Drivers record in accordance with company policy on operating company owned vehicle.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to regularly bend, stretch, twist, stoop, kneel and crouch or reach with body, arms, and/or legs. Ability to walk, stand and sit. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing so others will understand. Ability to match or distinguish differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness. Vision requirements include the ability to see close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and ability to adjust focus. Work environments can include high, narrow, and tight conditions. Exposure to all weather conditions
