Field Service Technician -Electrical Switchgear

Field Service Technician Powercon Corp is a switchgear manufacturing company currently looking for well-organized individualsto travel assigned territory within the USA area and perform the following duties as a Field Service Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for personal safety within the framework of Powercon's Safety Culture and Training Regimen while promoting safety to team members Responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing medium voltage electrical switchgear and associated components. Tasks range from working with a crane and rigging contractors to set large modular electrical enclosures (bolting assemblies together, re-wiring portions removed for shipping, and testing), to troubleshooting circuits, circuit breakers (electro-mechanical devices), and protection and control devices (microprocessor relays, PLCs automatic voltage transfer schemes, and generator control schemes). Supervise, guide, instruct, plan and direct Field Service Technician Assistants Promote, and maintain product quality while ensuring tool and calibration maintenance. Responsible for reporting nonconformities onsite activities and providing feedback to the Field Service Coordinator, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel Report issues concerning customer satisfaction and complaints to the Field Service Manager

REQUIREMENTS

Requires significant local and out of state travel (40% - 75%) + Overtime Hours Minimum 5 years experience in related field Electrical and mechanical aptitude Knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical, and national standards is a plus Excellent supervisory and customer relation skills Ability to read and understand technical literature and drawings Familiar with using hand tools and basic electrical test equipment Ability to train technician assistants and perform technical work with little to no supervision Ability to lift 50 lbs.

PER DIEM & TRAVEL EXPENSES

Per Diem:

We offer a competitive per diem allowance for meals and incidental expenses incurred while traveling for work.

Travel Expenses:

All necessary work related travel expenses, including transportation, lodging, and other approved costs, are fully covered by the company.
