Job Description
PTR Baler and Compactor is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to service balers, compactors and industrial equipment. The primary job functions of this position will be to diagnose, repair, perform maintenance and ensure units are fully operational and exceeds customer expectations. PTR is hiring in multiple locations due to company and client growth! Field Service Technician Requirements Must have electrical background and troubleshooting experience Must have strong mechanical and technical skills with mechanic's background Hydraulics repair and knowledge a plus (how to seal and replace cylinders) Welding (MIG) experience preferred Ability to read and comprehend schematics Prior experience with PLC Experience working with diesel or industrial machines DOT license (Class A or CDL not required) Good driving record Must be willing to work over time when requested by manager and based on business needs (50+ hours a week). On-call required once per month. Should be detail oriented & have strong customer service skills Should be able to work independently with little supervision Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. PTR Field Service Technicians are provided with a fully stocked service vehicle and are dispatched from their home location.
