Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, automated systems). This position requires approximately 50% travel throughout the Midwest region to support our customer base with on-site service and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment. Conduct routine preventive maintenance services as scheduled. Install or assist with the installation of new equipment. Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and logs. Communicate effectively with customers regarding service work, timelines, and technical issues. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while working on-site. Collaborate with in-house technical support and parts departments as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; technical school training preferred. 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems (material handling equipment experience is a plus). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across the Midwest (overnight stays may be required). Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments (warehouses, distribution centers, etc.).
