By Monday morning you're walking a cutting-edge shop floor, evaluating a critical production die that needs immediate attention. You map out the repair, strike a clean TIG bead, blend to perfection, and "spot in" to verify the fix. By midweek you've fabricated a custom chute to keep parts flowing. As part of our team, you'll work in top-tier facilities across the United States, take on demanding assignments, and continuously sharpen your craft. The Opportunity This is a fully travel-based role supporting production through extended on-site deployments. You must be willing to travel nationwide 100% of the time and remain on assignment as long as the client requires support.

Pay:

$45-$47/hr

Per Diem:

$125-$180/day (location-dependent, tax-free)

Open-ended (typically 6+ months)

Commitment:

Stay on-site for the full duration of client needs Day-to-Day Impact Diagnose damage and execute high-quality TIG/MIG weld repairs Grind, sand, blend, and polish to exacting finish standards Set up dies and prove out your work by "spotting in" and adjusting as needed Fabricate accessories for stamping and molding (chutes, trays, racks, clamps, etc.) in steel or aluminum Operate manual mill, lathe, and drill press for basic operations What You Bring 5+ years of recent, verifiable die repair experience (stamping, presses, roto-molding, or similar) Mastery of TIG/MIG welding for die restoration and component repair Proven "spotting in" experience post-repair to validate quality Proficiency with standard shop tools and precision techniques Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to quality Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills Clear, professional communication with all levels of shop personnel Adaptability to shifting priorities and urgent production timelines Consistent attendance and performance Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
