Field Service Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fireplace technician/installer to join our team. As a fireplace technician/installer you will be repairing gas or wood fireplaces, pellet stoves, and Generac Generators as well as assisting in the installation of these items with opportunities available to become a lead fireplace installer in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of fireplace/Generac parts
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
• Perform warranty work
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Collaborate with customers to identify their needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Provide training and technical support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including service reports and parts inventory

Skills:

• Proficiency in reading diagrams, and technical manuals
• Experience with precision measuring instruments for troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Basic knowledge of fireplace and pellet stove operation (not mandatory)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field service environment
• willingness to learn new trades
