Field Operator - Entry Level

The Field Operator assists with the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of the District's water system. This position involves outdoor, hands-on work and provides an opportunity to learn all aspects of water distribution. Training will be provided for systems, equipment, and licensing. Key Responsibilities Assist with locating underground utilities and responding to locate requests Help maintain and repair water mains, service lines, valves, and meters Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance at pump stations and facilities Monitor system alerts (SCADA and meter system) and report issues Conduct water sampling and general system checks Assist with installation of new services and minor construction projects Operate tools, equipment, and district vehicles safely Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized manner Complete basic reports and document field activities Provide professional and courteous interaction with customers and the public Work closely with office staff and other team members Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid Class E Missouri driver's license (or ability to obtain) Ability to obtain a Missouri

DNR DSII

Operator License within a specified timeframe Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, digging, bending, etc.) Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Experience in construction, utilities, or related field work Familiarity with equipment such as skid steers or excavators Basic mechanical or plumbing skills Compensation Starting pay: $50,000 annually Higher pay available based on experience, skills, and certifications Benefits District-paid individual health insurance Opportunity for pay increases as certifications and skills are obtained Stable, long-term career in essential public service Retirement plan (Simple IRA) available after one year of employment Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Physically demanding tasks including lifting 50+ lbs, digging, and climbing Occasional evening, weekend, and rotational on-call duties as needed To Apply Submit a resume and salary requirements to: customer.service@ccwater8.net
