Contents Restoration Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Contents Restoration Technician to join our growing restoration team. In this hands-on role, you will help families and businesses recover after fire, water, mold, or other property damage by carefully inventorying, packing, cleaning, and returning their personal belongings . This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in organization, enjoys physical work, and wants to make a meaningful impact during challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Documentation Photograph and document all customer contents before, during, and after packing Accurately log items using company inventory software, noting condition and damages Label boxes and maintain organized inventory records for warehouse storage and retrieval Packing & Moving (Pack-Outs & Pack-Backs) Safely wrap, package, and box personal property (furniture, electronics, clothing, glassware, etc.) Load and unload contents onto company vehicles Return cleaned items to customers' homes or businesses and place them in their original rooms Cleaning & Restoration Perform detailed cleaning and deodorization of contents affected by smoke, soot, water, mold, or sewage Identify and document non-salvageable items for proper disposal Follow manufacturer and company guidelines when handling specialty items such as antiques, fine art, and important documents

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Previous experience in restoration, packing, moving, or cleaning preferred but not required

Physical Ability:

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 30-50 lbs regularly

Technical Skills:

Basic proficiency using smartphones or tablets for documentation and inventory

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, Organizational skills, Compassion and professionalism when working with clients after property loss

Additional Requirements:

Valid driver's license

Work Environment:

This role requires flexibility, as the work environment can vary between offices, warehouses, and client sites it requires ensuring the safe and efficient handling of all materials.
