ABOUT THE ROLE
The Trades Support Technician is the backbone of our field operations in Omaha — keeping our technicians equipped, moving, and focused on what they do best. This role blends warehouse logistics with hands-on field work across our HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Drain/Sewer teams. One part of your day might be staging and delivering parts and equipment to job sites; the other has you working side-by-side with our technicians as a direct project assistant. No experience in the trades? No problem — we will train the right person from the ground up. This role is intentionally designed as a launching pad. As a Trades Support Technician, you will work alongside experienced HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Drain/Sewer technicians every day. We invest in our people, and for the right individual, there is a clear, supported path to becoming a full-service technician in any of our trades. We promote from within — and we mean it.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver parts, equipment, and materials to field technicians and job sites in a timely and organized manner Stage and load daily outgoing runs, verifying accuracy against work orders and job requirements Assist HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Drain/Sewer technicians on-site with installations, service calls, and project work as directed Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with company policy; maintain a clean driving record Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and proper receiving procedures Track and report any inventory discrepancies, damage, or shortages to the warehouse manager Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently Communicate proactively with dispatchers, service managers, and technicians to anticipate field needs Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Complete all required paperwork, delivery confirmations, and vehicle inspection logs accurately and on timeQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery, or trades support role (preferred but not required) Hands-on experience or coursework in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical (a plus — we will train the right person) Basic computer skills, including comfort with mobile apps or inventory/dispatch systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling, staging, and delivering parts Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a fast-moving, changing dayWHO YOU ARE
