Job Description
Prodew is the leading manufacturer of perishable control equipment for supermarkets and food storage facilities. We offer misting systems for fruit, vegetable and seafood displays, as well as display case humidity systems for meat, seafood, delicatessen and flower displays. These systems are known by most as the "thunder & lightning" misting systems in the produce section of your local supermarket. Prodew's family atmosphere, flexible schedule and allowing our employees to work independently makes Prodew the choice for many of our long term employees. Due to our continued rapid growth, we are adding an additional position to our Service Department and are seeking a technician to service and/or install our misting and humidification systems in supermarkets throughout the Southeast. The position will be working from a company provided work van and significant regional travel is involved. This position works independently but has daily contact with Senior Operations Management. This position is great for someone that does not like to work in a fixed location and prefers working independently. Comprehensive training is provided before allowing this position to service stores to ensure confidence and service quality.
- Technical Experience preferred, but general technical skills and aptitude are a necessity.
- Must be a hard-worker - you will be expected to work under the display cases, as well as climb ladders and work on top of the cases.
- Must be willing to travel regionally and stay out of town for up to 5 days, though most weeks will be less. A company service vehicle will be provided.
- Prodew is based in Marietta, GA, but Prodew Technicians work in a regional area and their service van is their office. Prodew is building its Service Department due to tremendous business growth that continues to create opportunities for career growth internally.
- Workdays are Monday - Friday depending upon weekly schedules and most Service Technicians have routine opportunities for significant over time hours. Most of our Technicians work Monday through Thursday and have three day weekends!
- Pay is competitive and based on experience. Training periods and drive time to work sites are paid. Prodew will provide a a credit card for hotel and fuel expenses as well as a daily per diem for meals.
- Upon completion of the training period, the Technician will work independently but have access to Senior Service Management for technical guidance when needed.
