Water Meter Technician

Responsibilities Install, inspect, and replace water meters at residential, commercial, and industrial sites using appropriate hand tools. Perform routine maintenance of meters to ensure precise measurement and compliance with standards. Troubleshoot mechanical issues with meters and associated equipment, performing necessary repairs or replacements. Document all work performed accurately in service logs, including installation details, repairs, and inspections. Experience Prior experience in utility locating, equipment repair, or field service roles preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures related to utility work. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and documenting work accurately. Qualifications Valid driver's license Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift and carry equipment (typically up to 50 lbs)

Pay:

$41,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
