Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality service and support to our clients in various mining and construction settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and customer service, ensuring that our customers equipment operates efficiently and effectively. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment on-site, while also fostering positive relationships with customers. Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc drill rigs is highly desireable. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment at customer locations, generally MSHA governed sites. Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and other diagnostic tools. Execute welding tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment. Operate and maintain field service truck and tooling for maintenance and repairs. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track service requests and maintenance schedules. Analyze equipment performance to identify areas for improvement or potential failures. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding service needs and updates. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety standards. Skills Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Experience with stick welding and general mechanical repairs. Familiarity with CANBUS systems and their applications in heavy equipment Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities. Strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance and identify solutions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Experience working in MSHA sites is preferred but not required. Ability to operate heavy equipment, truck cranes, and forklifts.
