About the
Role:
Seating Technician As a Seating Technician at Numotion, based at our New York - Denton Avenue S location, you will be a key player in the successful assembly, delivery, and fitting of Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) equipment. This is a full-time, regular/at-will position at the mid-career level, offering an hourly compensation structure. This role supports the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and directly contributes to fulfilling Numotion's vision of delivering life-changing mobility products and services. You will work closely with clients to ensure their mobility needs and functional goals are met, while maintaining high standards of customer service. Please note that this role requires travel of up to 75%, primarily for equipment delivery and client fittings across the service area.
Pay Range:
$24.72 to $32.13. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist ATPs:
Support the ATP team with equipment assembly and delivery as needed, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of client-focused solutions.
Equipment Assembly and Delivery:
Assemble and fit CRT equipment, including manual and powered wheelchairs and other mobility devices, ensuring that client goals are met with minimal oversight and in accordance with prescribed specifications.
Troubleshooting:
Assess product issues in the field and collaborate with the ATP for effective and timely solutions, minimizing disruption to the client's daily life.
Maintain Workspace:
Keep the shop and warehouse clean, organized, and safe for all operations, ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards at all times.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Ensure delivery vehicles are kept clean and in safe working order, conducting routine checks and reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
Client Relationship Management:
Assist in maintaining strong relationships with existing business accounts, acting as a professional and compassionate representative of Numotion during all client interactions.
Accurate Documentation:
Ensure that all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, in full compliance with Numotion policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all standard safety procedures and regulations, including proper handling and transport of CRT equipment and safe driving practices during deliveries.
In-Service Training:
Attend required company training and development sessions to stay current with product knowledge, industry standards, and Numotion operational procedures.
Customer Collaboration:
Work closely with ATPs and customers to ensure equipment solutions align with client needs, functional goals, and physician recommendations.
Customer Service Focus:
Provide outstanding customer service at all times, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the delivery and fitting process.
Problem Solving:
Quickly address any concerns raised by customers during deliveries or fittings, seeking guidance from the ATP as necessary and escalating issues appropriately. Adhere to

Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to maintain integrity, compliance, and company values in every aspect of the role.

Maintain strict confidentiality in all employee and customer matters and comply with all federal and organizational policies and regulations, including HIPAA and other applicable standards.

Required Skills Ability to assemble, fit, and adjust Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) equipment including manual and powered wheelchairs Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, ATPs, and internal teams Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess equipment issues and implement timely solutions Exceptional customer service skills with a compassionate and professional approach to client interactions General knowledge of products within the Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) industry Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, field-based work environment Commitment to continuous improvement and openness to identifying opportunities for process and service enhancements Proficiency in completing accurate documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Knowledge of and adherence to standard safety procedures and workplace regulations Ability to maintain confidentiality in all employee and customer matters in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies Basic mechanical and/or electrical aptitude for equipment assembly and troubleshooting Valid State Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record for vehicle operation during deliveries Ability to maintain delivery vehicles in clean and safe working condition Ability to work collaboratively with Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) and other team members Required Experience 2 to 4 years of related mechanical or electrical experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associate degree preferred or equivalent technical training Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing or client service role, preferably in a healthcare, medical equipment, or rehabilitation technology setting Experience assembling, delivering, or servicing durable medical equipment (DME) or Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) is highly desirable Experience working in a field-based role with significant travel requirements (up to 75%) including local and regional deliveries Prior experience supporting clinical or technical professionals such as Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs), occupational therapists, or physical therapists is a plus Experience maintaining accurate records and completing documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards Demonstrated experience adhering to safety protocols and workplace compliance standards in a warehouse, shop, or field environment Experience operating and maintaining delivery vehicles in a professional capacity Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and managing client relationships in a professional setting
