While prior coffee equipment experience is beneficial, we are primarily looking for someone with a solid understanding of basic electrical systems, plumbing/water connections, strong problem-solving abilities, and exceptional customer service skills. This role combines hands-on equipment maintenance with service coordination responsibilities. The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, assist with installations, coordinate outside service providers for more complex technical issues, and ensure our customers receive outstanding support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, building customer relationships, and developing technical expertise within the specialty coffee industry. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on commercial coffee and beverage equipment. Diagnose and resolve basic electrical, mechanical, and water-related issues. Install, set up, and calibrate coffee equipment at customer locations. Coordinate and manage third-party service providers for advanced repairs and specialized technical work. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer equipment service requests. Schedule service visits and ensure timely resolution of equipment issues. Maintain accurate service records, repair histories, and parts inventories. Assist delivery personnel with equipment installations and service-related customer support. Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability. Provide customers with basic operational training and troubleshooting guidance. Deliver exceptional customer service during all customer interactions. Weekend availability is required. Qualifications Experience in equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, appliance repair, mechanical service, or a related technical field preferred. Basic understanding of electricity, plumbing/water systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple service requests. Comfortable using hand tools and performing light mechanical repairs. Experience managing vendors or coordinating service providers is a plus. Coffee equipment experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Ability to lift and move equipment as needed. What We're Looking For We're less concerned with finding an experienced coffee technician and more interested in finding someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, customer-focused, and eager to learn. The right candidate will be comfortable handling routine service work while coordinating experienced technicians for more advanced repairs.
