This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machine tools at customer locations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and excels in both technical problem-solving and customer-facing communication. What You Will Contribute Travel to customer sites throughout the Columbus region to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and related control systems Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues efficiently and accurately Utilize machine manuals, technical documentation, internal resources, and vendor support to research and resolve machine issues Accurately document service activities, repairs, installations, and machine status for both internal teams and customers Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment Provide after-sales technical support and operator training as needed Maintain a strong working knowledge of machine tool technology and product lines represented by the company Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management in both verbal and written formats Perform related duties as required Qualifications & Competencies Experience with mechanical and electrical repair of CNC machine tools (CNC field service experience preferred) Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics and drawings Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills Professional and technical writing skills for service documentation and reporting Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel frequently throughout the Columbus territory with flexible work hours Must possess basic hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.); specialty tools will be provided by the company Training & Development Extensive on-the-job training provided Ongoing technical training to support professional growth and product knowledge Physical Requirements & Work Environment The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
