As a Field Service Technician, Rapid Response provider, you'll be at the heart of providing immediate, on-site support for urgent equipment issues to minimize customer downtime. You'll use your skills and experience to deliver top-tier service that keeps our customers moving. You will work in the field from a service pickup truck. What You'll Do Provide rapid, on‑site support for urgent equipment breakdowns Perform fast diagnostics and temporary repairs to reduce downtime Troubleshoot electronic & hydraulic systems Analyze fault codes using Cat ET, Product Link, Service Link, CAT Inspect/Interact Complete ECM updates, telematics installs, and safety service letters Communicate repair status and recommended next steps Escalate major repairs when needed Follow all safety procedures What You Bring Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude Experience with Caterpillar equipment and diagnostic tools Computer‑literate with solid troubleshooting skills Welding experience (a plus) Valid driver's license Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Technical school training (2+ years) in diesel or power equipment 5+ years hands‑on experience with diesel, earthmoving, or industrial equipment Why Ohio CAT Competitive pay Employer‑sponsored pension plan Health, dental, vision, HSA & FSA options Paid vacation & personal time (year one) Life & disability insurance Company‑provided uniforms Ongoing technical training Scholarship opportunities for employees' families
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machinesDexterity Normal Repetitive Motions:
