Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Restoration Mitigation Technician specializing in Contents to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for restoring and cleaning contents affected by fire, water, mold, and other damages. Your efforts will help clients recover their belongings efficiently and safely, ensuring a positive experience during challenging times. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the restoration industry, utilizing hands-on skills to make a real difference in people's lives through thorough mitigation and content restoration. Duties Perform detailed cleaning, packing, and inventory of contents damaged by fire, water, mold, or other causes using specialized techniques and equipment Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, clean, and restore various household or commercial items Assist with fire restoration processes including soot removal and odor control to restore contents to pre-loss condition Conduct mold remediation activities following industry standards to ensure safe and effective removal of mold from contents Support water damage restoration efforts by drying, dehumidifying, and cleaning affected belongings Execute asbestos abatement procedures when necessary, adhering strictly to safety protocols and regulations Document all work performed with detailed reports for client records and insurance purposes Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or cleaning is highly preferred Knowledge of fire restoration, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration machinery Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and restoration best practices Ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously while handling hazardous materials or working in potentially dangerous environments Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for content inventorying and documentation Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy items and working in confined or challenging spaces Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record and pass a background check.
