Job Summary:
Job Description We are hiring a Seed Collection Crew Lead. This at-will, temporary, hourly, non-exempt position supports the Plant Program Manager in leading seasonal seed collection and nursery activities. The role works primarily in the field and plays a key part in supporting watershed health across the Coos region. The Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to environmental integrity, community partnerships, and inclusive workplace values. Job Duties ' Lead daily tasks of the Seed Collection Crew ' Transport crew to job sites ' Collect, store, and process native plant seeds ' Support operation and maintenance of the Matson Creek Native Plant Nursery ' Safely operate power tools ' Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, board, and partners ' Maintain team-oriented, collaborative work habits ' Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements ' Strong knowledge of native and invasive plant species in the Pacific Northwest ' Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle ' Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills '

Ability to meet at varying job sites in the Coos Bay area Employer Notes- Qualified candidates will process the following: ' Ability to navigate with maps and GPS ' Ability to work productively in a collaborative environment ' Ability to adjust to variable schedules including early mornings, long days, and seasonal fluctuations ' Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions (wind, rain, sun, heat, cold) ' Ability to lift 40 pounds ' Ability to work in all field environments as needed Hours Up to 40 hours per week; primarily field-based; schedule varies seasonally. Position runs June 15, 2026 through October 1, 2026, with possible extension. Wages/Benefits Starting wage: $20.06 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include sick leave. This is a seasonal, grant-funded position.
