Position Summary The Lead Water Mitigation Technician performs hands-on mitigation, remediation, and restoration work on residential and commercial properties throughout the Portland Metro and Vancouver area. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, structural drying, and general construction trades, along with prior leadership experience managing crews and job sites. The ideal candidate is organized, outgoing, communicative, and confident leading and training technicians while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This position maintains high standards of quality and professionalism, and delivers exceptional customer service on every project. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead, train, and supervise mitigation technicians while maintaining quality control and productivity standards. Develop and maintain relationships with maintenance managers, property managers, and clients. Inspect, evaluate, and document damaged properties using moisture meters, DASH, and FLIR cameras. Perform water mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, fire/smoke cleanup, and selective demolition in accordance with industry standards. Perform light reconstruction and finish work including drywall, paint, trim carpentry, framing, siding, roofing, decks, and window/door installation as needed. Manage job schedules, priorities, documentation, and technician performance to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment remain clean, operational, and properly maintained. Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members regarding job progress, scheduling, and project needs while delivering excellent customer service. Uphold company standards, professionalism, and core values on every job site. Requirements Minimum 5 years of mitigation/restoration industry experience. Previous leadership or crew management experience required. Valid driver's license with clean insurable driving record. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, confined spaces, and varied field conditions. Respirator fit test and medical clearance required. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency. Self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused. Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications WRT or other IICRC certifications. Prior experience in siding, trim, framing, roofing, decks, drywall, or finish carpentry. Trade school or technical training in construction, mitigation, or related fields. Working Conditions Work is performed in residential and commercial job sites with exposure to weather, dust, noise, debris, and construction/remediation environments.
Pay:
