Full Job Description Our client, a family-owned company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll train alongside experienced technicians and build real-world technical skills from day one. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and eager to grow into a long-term career in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with assembling, wiring, and installing equipment at customer sites Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in the field Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations Travel throughout Oregon and Washington for service calls, including monthly overnight trips Accurately document service work, updates, and job details in company systems Communicate with customers to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction Participate in an on-call rotation for weekend service support

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly, wiring, calibration, or related field Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability (bakery or similar equipment experience a plus) Background in diesel mechanics, military, or similar hands-on technical roles preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments, including cold/refrigerated areas Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a non-CDL flatbed truck
